norton anti virus corporate edition

I have a dell computer that is running windows 98. that has been updated some
what. I want to redo it and install windows xp on it but this norton anti
virus was installed by some one elose and has the password set on just it so
it wont let me intall windows xp. does any body know how to do this. or
unlock it because it wont even let me remove the norton without the password.
(please help)

The default password for uninstalling Symantec Anti-virus Corporate
Edition is "symantec." If it wasn't changed, you should be able to
remove it.

Hi Bruce mike here I dont know if it was change but i do know that password
dont work they have that whole norton file locked i even tried the norton
removal tool,, this ones got me. any other ideas??(mike)

To reset the password look in the built-in help function where it describes
setting the password or go to Symantec's website. You may have to reinstall
the AV.
