Norton Anti-Virus 2005

I uninstalled NAV and am now not able to get it reinstalled. I am getting,
"Internal error 2753.Savscan.exe.3333244E_F73A_407A_B74A_569A9E09D5B3"

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tried to reinstall NAV 2004, but got
the same response.

Greetings, Are you sure you removed all of it. Edit the registry and remove
the rest. This can be a little time consuming but it will remove all of it.

As far as I know, the only way to remove all of any Symantec product
is to clean re-install Windows XP. :) I'm not saying that Symantec
software is bad -- far from it -- but only that if you intend on using
Symantec, assume that it going to be with your machine for richer or
poorer, in sickness and in health, etc.

After my most recent clean install, I started trying EZ Trust's
antivirus program. I really like it! It is missing the bloatware and
eye candy that you see in virtually every other antivirus and
security product on the market (did someone mention Symantec? -- but
it is certainly not alone), yet it is 100% certified by ICSA Labs.

Any Norton software shouldn't be allowed in the same room as your PC,let
alone installed on it!

I do run NAV but I run my old version 2003 which I consider their last
version before the growth of Symantec BloatWare/EvasiveWare coupled
with the infamous activationware (assumed guilty until proven innocent
ware).

I know that soon or later, Symantec will refuse to sell me a yearly
license to get virus definitions for my 2003, trying to force me into
having to buy their newer bloatware/evasiveware version. But, that is
when I will go elsewhere and they loose my yearly fee.
