Norton Anti-Virus 2003

Tried the normal scan. Got message 'computer has encountered an internal program error. Please unistall and re-install.' I have tried and tried this, but it won't launch. Do I have a virus? Hope I don't have to install new one. This is good until Sept. Thanks!

Personally I've had few probs with Norton, over last 5years; but then we all
have opinions
 
do msconfig and uncheck each and every thing from general page and try to run norton and if you are able to run it than check one by one all the file and let me know after checking which file it again stop working
 
Been there, done that..
1. these files from Microsof
a. WindowsXP-KBB24146-x86-en
b. WindowsXP-KBB23980-x86-en
c. Windows-KBB33330-EN
2. these from Symante
a. fixblas
b. the lastest update to Nav2003 (download it)
3. Run fixblas
4. Restart. Run the Microsoft Patch
5. Restart. try the Nav2003 update. if it doesn't take then re-install Nav200

I've had the same problem with 11 machines and this solved 8 of them. The rest had other viruses and issues. It sucks but it is fixabl
