norton anitvirus

Hi,

I dont know if I picked ther right newsgroup, but I
recently installed Norton AntiVirus 2004, and it slows
donw and freezes my windows xp. Is there something I
need to do to fix this. I uninstalled and it is back to
normal again. Help...I would like to use this program.
