norton 2004 and win xp pro corporate

installed win xp pro corporate and then installed norton antivirus 2004.
can't seem to access nortons. when i click on the shortcut (or the program
icon), the splash screen appears for a minute and then disappears.
i can't access the program to enable or disable the settings in order to
install other programs. i have administrator rights on win xp.
how do i get to the adminstrator settings for services to turn it on or
off., and what is causing this strange behavior?
help please

Actually, there is no such thing as WinXP "Corporate Edition."
That is a term applied exclusively to pirated (iow, stolen) copies of
the Volume Licensed WinXP Pro by the "warez" aficionados.

As for any problems with Symantec's product(s), contact Symantec.

pirated software can cause that problem. The copy of NAV 2004 you have was
likely already activated by the legal owner and you are locked out. NAV is
now using a form of Product Activation. By the way you are likely to run
into a problem with XP when you try to install service packs for it.

Solution - purchase a legal version of XP and if you can't afford AV then
install one of the legitimately freeware AV programs
