Noisy and slow processor

My IBM T30 laptop running XP pro has become noisy and
slow. I had google as my default web, I think thats the
source of me trouble. how do I troubleshoot to locate the
problem area?

Noisy could mean hard drive bearings.

I don't know if laptops have CPU or "case" fans, but this could be the
noise. The Google web page, probable your home page, has nothing to do with
anything.
