no video capture from ATI card to MM2

I have XP and movie maker 2 with ATI all in wonder 128 PCI
card with 32megs. ATI works fine, but MM won't see the
camcorder when I plug it into the ATI jacks. It only picks
up my Creative USB web camera. I get the following error
when I try to capture from video device: The video device
is currently in use.
I disconnected and shut down almost everything, but still
no success. Does anyone have a suggested solution for this?
 
Sounds like you need to install new hardware if it isn't
in the list.....
 
I believe ATI cards use Video For Windows drivers for
capturing. Adobe Premiere also uses VFW, but I believe
MM2 & most other current programs require WDM drivers.
