NO streaming video WMP 9

WMP 9 was working, then I had a GPF while using
LAUNCHcast. After reboot, no streaming video or audio,
although Quicktime and RealPlayer stream just fine. No
more GPFs, but no more streaming, either.

Running Win XP Pro, all updates are good, the firewall is
not interfering, no virus bugs. DSL connection is good,
support from SBCGlobal is not-so-good (they tried to fix
it, but couldnt) There is no support from Launchcast.
I've searched everywhere for a solution and have come up
with nothing.

Anyone have any ideas? Any reply is surely welcome.

thanks - mike

I had a similar problem using Norton IS as my firewall.
You say it's not interfering but is that the firewall you
are using? If so, Norton has instructions on their site
for how to remedy the problem. Just for my info...what is
a GPF?

No I wish I could say it was something as easy as the
firewall, I do have Norton firewall, but even when it is
shut off there is no streaming audio or video.

And with it on, I do get streaming video and audio with
RealPlayer and Quicktime, so at least I know it CAN work.

All I really want is LAUNCHcast back. I LOVE LAUNCHcast.
Perhaps it can be configured to channel thru RealPlayer
or Quicktime...?

'preciate the response, the research continues...

ps a GPF is a General Protection Fault, aka the Blue
Screen of Death.
