No Start, Exit or Mail sounds

I've had this happen before, but forgot what the fix was. For some unknown
reason, I have lost my Windows startup, exit and Outlook new mail
notification sounds. I have a Windows-XP SP2 Sony Vaio, but this happened
last year when I had XP-Home with SP1 so I know its not an SP2 issue. All
other sounds still work fine. I searched the KB and found a little registry
edit that fixed the problem, but can't seem to find that article again. I'm
not sure, but it may have to do with running Windows Movie Maker. Anyway,
does anyone know what the registry fix for this is??
