no sound

I have lost all sound. The control panel shows that no audio device
installed. Device manager shows everything working. Recently had a series of
viruses and spyware. All cleaned but now have no sound. Help

Look in Control Panel>Sound and Audio Devices. Uncheck Mute boxes if
checked. Reinstall your Audio Driver. It should be on a software CD that
came with the computer.
