No sound

Hi,
I have no sound coming from my speakers when using any audio/video
application.
Even the windows start up sound is gone.
My speakers are ok because I can hear my mic through them perfectly. I have
opened the audio box and nothing is muted and all boxes are ticked.
Any ideas???

Make also sure that there are no problems showing up in the device
manager.

You probably just need to re-download your sound drivers.

Thanks guys your great.
I got the answer from the microsoft link. Still not quite sure how i done it
because
i got in a panic and was doing about three things at once, but it was
something to do with the realtek driver.
