no sound

i just installed xp, and the sound doesnt work. i know little about for
computers, and need frank help. i want to run certian programs, but they come
up with an error saying that theres no sound driver. can yall help me? please
talk in a language a farmer could understand, thank ya.

You need to find out the make and model of your sound card, go to the
manufacturer's web site, and download the drivers. If your computer is name
brand (Dell, HP-Compaq etc.), you can find the drivers on the computer
makers' site.

mines a "lindows" computer, so i just go to its website even though i installed xp?
