no sound

I have a new a7v600 main board with athalon 3gig processor, but I cant get
the on board sound to work, all the software seems to be installed ok and
there are no conflicts in device manager.I cant se any way to turn on the on
board sound in the bios.

I don't know,"that" board but in my BIOS there are 3 options to be
enabled
On board Game port
On board Midi
AC97.
Then the correct mother board sound chip drivers installed.
