No Sound

Have a user that boots up PC - sound card is on
motherboard. PC is Compaq Deskpro. Sound card works fine.
Opens applications on the local PC - sound works. Openings
a internet connection and a some point in time the sound
stops working. Have tried going to certain websites,
trying to find a pattern as to when,where and how - No
Luck. Has anyone experienced the same problems. If so what
could be causing such a problem. Thanks in advance for
your time to read and respond.
 
Are you using a modem for Internet access? And are your sound card and
modem sharing an interrupt?

Question 1 is No, we use a T1 connection.
Question 2 is Yes, the sound card is on auto for resources.
