No Sound when playing Windows Media Player on bbc web site

I've noticed that despite having sound when using my Vista Media Player, and
having checked that the sound settings are ON, that when I try to listen to
an article from the BBC's web site selecting Media Player that there is NO
sound. I'm quite new to Vista and there are still many teething issues
(hardly surprising)... it's not a critical issue but something that will nag
away until resolved... can anyone help?
 
I received a RealAudio message when I visited the BBC page and tried to listen
to a newscast. This is a busy web site, no doubt I've missed something.
