No audio when playing DVD

Oscar Thornell

Hi,

I don't have any sound when I play DVD content on my HTPC in Windows Media
Center (MCE)/ or Windows Media Player (WMP).
If I use the VLC media player I will have good quality sound playing DVDs.
The OS is Vista Ultimate 32-bit, that comes natively with DVD decoders for
both video and audio.

Any ideas!?

Regards
/Oscar

Open Sounds in the Control Panel and change the default to
"Speakers" rather than "Digital Audio Interface".

I am sorry to say that I don't have the golden answer, but I an sadly pleased
to know I am not the only one to have this issue.

I will try that..but i listened to all those who said Media Player Classic is
the real deal, and the codecs pack is real good too....but I think this
STUPID little thing worked....
I had to make the WMP 11 the default player, Open the Program/Player first,
then the DVD in the drive, and presto...so far so good...Thanks.
