no sound on my computer!

Ok, I was deleting stuff, and I guess I got delete happy, cause now I have no
sound. and when I shut down the computer and come back on ...it shows up that
the file ctsfm2k system file 203KB, is that the one i need to get my sound
back?
How do I get it? Help please, I am very computer "stupid" as
well..sorry..and thanks in advance!!

You are probably going to have to find the CD that came with your computer
and using that to re-install the file to your computer.

Ok, what if I can't find it, this computer was my Dad's, and I have no idea
where the cd is? Anyway I can download something from the internet?

Not sure how it changed you configuration or not. If your computer just no
longer recognizes the drivers for the sound card it could be easy to fix,
but I don't know if that is the case or not....Did you ever empty the
Recycle Bin? If you didn't, you can restore the files that you put in there
and that should fix it....If you did, then you can always try the system
restore which may fix it but not totally sure if it will fix it.

Eric, I tried that a while back, and it goes back to far, I have been
delaying this thing, to try to fix it..so, I have emptied the trash bin
several times....This has been a problem for a while..and the system restore
won't go back that far....I guess, when I mess up, I really mess up..Thanks

You need to determine what hardware is installed ie, motherboard, sound
device

I'm assuming its not a Laptop or large OEM, eg Dell/HP/Gateway

Not to labor the point 'computer stupid' shouldnt be deleting anything that
is not specifically known, and maybe not even looking in explorer
