no sound on moviemaker2

i have a pinnacle usb capture device and it works fine with pinnacle
software but when i click capture on moviemaker it only does video...no
sound...any help?

Analog video correct? The audio is usually captured through the line in
port on the soundcard and you should ensure your "Record" options are not
set to Mute for Line In.

I have a similar problem.
MovieMaker2 will not recognize my combination audio / video capture card as an audio device. It just shows my sound card as the only selection for audio on the video capture screen, when this is selected it captures no sound
I'm using an HP MediaCenter PC with a Conexant CX23880 audio/video chip for analog capture. Both audio and video capture work fine on the same PC using ArcSoft Showbiz -- Showbiz shows the Conexant CX23880 as the audio device as well as the video device
Is it possible to get MovieMaker to see the combination chip as an audio device as well?
