no sound on 2nd song

I am able to initialize an mp3 song, then select another
song, double click, it shows the track playing, but no
sound. If I close media player, the re-open it with the
same tune, it plays fine???

How were the mp3s encoded? Does it happen with all music files are just
these specific mp3s?
