Files are not showing on my mp3 player

I added songs previously and they showed and played on my mp3 player. But
now all of a sudden when i try to listen to my music it reads "Empty Disk",
but songs are still on there bacause when i check the memory it says some
space is used. There's a way delete and erase everything on the device
manually (besides going to the devices' folder because the songs don't show
there either) because i have done it before, but i forgot how to do. I need
help ASAP!!

What player ?

There is always some memory taken up with the operating system.

If no songs show up, then there are no songs on it. Use the instructions to
re-initialise it and then re-transfer your songs.

I did something like that. When I tried to Sync songs onto my MP3 player and
a window popped up. It asked if I wanted to delete All files on my MP3 and I
said yes because I had just Added A bunch Of songs and none of them showed
up! I need HELP!!!!!!
