No Sound in any Programs!

I have absolutely no sound in any programs on my computer. I've checked my
computer speakers and they are plugged in and working. I've been thru the
Sound Troubleshooter on Windows XP at least 10 times. This problem generally
occurs when I try to play a music file, and occurs in both Windows Media
Player 10 and Winamp 5.

Click on Volume Control icon to bring up the MIXER, remove the tick in
"mute".
