no rumble feature on a pc using the xbox 360 wired pad

hi :)

as my topic suggests, i can not get my xbox 360 wired pad to vibrate in my
pc game (playing f1 challenge 99 02). i downloaded the latest pc/xbox driver
version 1.10.123.0. can anyone help?

If the game is not making your gamepad vibrate, it's probably not the
pad, it's probably the game.

F1 Challenge 99'-02'. If you're playing a game from 1999 (published 6/03
I found out) I'd wager that the game doesn't send vibration commands to
your controller.

Games in those days supported Force Feedback, but FFB is different from
triggering 2 vibrators to simulate on screen events. It's not the
controller that makes the vibrations, it's the game, and if the game
doesn't know about vibration feedback then it's not gonna do it.

Quick Google Search reveals that this game supports Force Feedback, but
they are simply talking about Steering Wheel Force Feedback which is
different from the 360 controller Force Feedback [Vibrator] Effects.

So yeah, don't think you'll get a 360 controller to buzz with this game.

It's possible that other controllers supported buzzing, you might go to
support.ea.com and look up the game, see if they have a kb article that
lists tested controllers.
