no public folder paths for newly created folders?

We upgraded from exchange 5.5 to 2000. our email addresses
for pub folders were (e-mail address removed). since we upgraded, the
smtp address for a newly created folder is
(e-mail address removed). any newly created folders
which take the 2nd email address do not show a folder
path in the address book properties, when selected.
How can I restore the public folder paths to all the
public folders?
thanks,
jr

Try asking in an Exchange news group.

After furious head scratching, JR asked:
