NO PRINTERS

No printers display in the printer folder, the spooler is
running and I have restarted it several times. The
computer detects the printer trys to insatlling it then I
get this message "Cannot not install this hardware" "An
error occured during the installation of the device" "The
specified module could not be found" Has anyone had this
problem, any suggestions...I hope reformat is not the
only answer.

You have issues with permissions - ARe you the
administator on the computer?

You may have to call the printer manufacturer so they can
set permissions properly for their unit.

Yes I am the administrator but I will check the
permissions anyway and let you know. Thanks

I ran Windows XP setup and selected repair..printers are
now back and operating normally.

I take it you actually had printers installed and they just don't show ?
Sounds like printui.dll has been improperly touched by an install program.
Try running "sfc /scannow" from the command line and let us know whether
that fixed the problem.
