no picture (movie)

the following problem did not happen on the same pc using XP

when i connect my JVC digital video camera to my pc i get a box asking me
what program to use. i select micosoft movie maker. i select import and a
the format type and hit enter. the program turns the video camera on and
starts the film rolling. however i see no picture on the previewer nor is
any film transfer

Are you connecting by firewire/iLink or by USB. USB won't work with Movie
Maker.

What's the model number of your camcorder?

But then, maybe you don't need any comments as you say you don't have the
problem!!! good I guess

sorry, i miss a importand part. this has only happen since i upgraded to
VISTA. i'm using a firewire.
