MPG4 create with WMM a file with titles, music and import pictur

My Sony Cybershot DSC-T900 produces MPG4 film strips.
My previous Sony T50 saved them as MOV00.. and THM.

With Microsoft Movie Maker I could import: Pictures, THM.. film strips,
Titles and Music to go under the Pictures only, and save them in one
folder. This folder was copied to a DVD or Memorystick.

Now Microsoft Movie Maker does not accept MPG4 film strips. When I open
Microsoft Movie Maker and go the file where these pictures and filmstrips are
saved, the film strips don't even show up.

My computer is XP and 5 yrs. old

Please let me know if there is an updated version of Microsoft Movie Maker,
which accepts these MPG4 filmstrips together with pictures where I can put
my own music onto the file and Titles.

If this is not possible, what shall I do???

I make these Video files of my grandchildren. I really enjoy creating
something on my own on ONE Disc which I can pass on to the other set of
grandparents, with Titles , music under the pictures together with
filmstrips.

I am very disappointed, that Microsoft can not organise themselves and
produce an updated Window Movie Maker which can cope with this. HOPE I am
wrong.

PLEASE advise me what I shall do. I am not a computer wizzard, but want to
keep up with technology as long as I can.

The other question is: would a disc containing these MPEG filmstrip play on
any Microsoft computer.

========================================
The latest Movie Maker for XP is version 2.1 that
installed with Win XP SP2.

Might be worth a try to use the following free software
to convert the MPEG files to the WMV format. Then
import them into Movie Maker.
