Hi,

I've been runing
XP 64-bit Pro. for a few months now and no problem. Now after a restart
I don't get the login screen? The post and Windows splash screen
show as normal. It just stays at the light blue screen with a small
XP logo in the center right.

I try ctrl-alt-del twice to get the Admin login but nothing. I tried
safe
mode but still stays at the logo screen.

If I can remember I didn't install any Windows updates during the
last session. But I did install a software (Roxio's Easy CD creater)
that woudn't run so I uninstalled it. It did however complain about
Windows Media Technology or something not expecting it's version.
I'm not sure it that was the culprit.

Help!
Thanks in advance

You should post to the x64 newsgroup:

I'm not sure if this is a 64-bit related problem or if it's a normal
32-bit XP problem.

Have you tried disconnecting the computer that does connect and
connecting the computer that doesn't connect to that port? If so, does
it work then?
