no internet after sp4

with a fresh install of w2k prof I have no longer access
to the internet or ftp after applying sp4.
nor with my network card nor with my modem.
I read all 58 pages of this newsgroup but nothing helped.
who helps me out??

Hi,

I have the same problem; see my post 30 Dec 03; and some
one else has too; but nobody has replied to any of us yet?
Do we email Microsoft direct? May be everybody is better
of not updating sp4 and just keep their virus programs up
to date?
