No IE is not your default browser message

I'm running IE6 with XP Pro. I also use Netscape. When IE
is my default browser and I start up Netscape, I get a
message saying Netscape is not your default browser. Would
you like to make it your default browser? I should get a
similar message when starting up IE when Netscape is my
default browser, but don't. What should I do?

If you really want to be annoyed by that - Go to Tools,
Internt Options, click on the Programs Tab, check the box
Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the
default browser, click apply.

Thanks, but I'm still having my problem. I'll repeat the
problem again in case I was not clear earlier.

If IE is my default browser and I start Netscape, I get a
message saying:
Netscape 7.1 is not currently set as your default browser.
Would you like to make it your default browser? There are
yes, no, and cancel radio buttons, plus a check box for
Check at startup next time too.

If I click "yes" close Netscape and start IE, a message
similar to the one descibed above does not appear (and I
want it to appear). The "Internet Explorer should check to
see whether it is the default browser" is checked - but
checking or unchecking and applying doesn't seem to make
any difference. I can make IE my default browser by
clicking the Reset Web Settings.
