Hi all,

can anyone tell me how to create a new desktop icon as
after removing and reinstalling, my internet shortcut
goes to internet properties????
 
Try these notes:

Desktop icon
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Advanced
Check "Show Internet Explorer on the desktop"

For XP:
Control Panel-Display Properties-Desktop tab.
Customize Desktop
