I recently bought a few Compaq presario V600 laptop computers some have intel boards and some have AMD boards. the AMD board give me no problems when i'm installing winXP on them but when i get to the Intel Board almost all of them give me a error message in the setup that says "Setup cannot find a hard drive." I have tried different hard drives in them of which i know work. I went to the hp site and they told me to run SP36132 and put in a third party driver. well the driver on that already comes with windows and it didn't work at all. So now i'm stumped and I was curious to see if anyone has had this problem and if so could they direct me to the correct solution. I would part them out but i think i can get more money if i sold them whole. Much thanks to anyone who can help
