No folder option for internet page shortcut

When I right click on an internet page and create a shortcut on the desktop
it works fine. When I click on the desktop shortcut icon I get a message
that it is not related to any folder option. Looked in folder options but
didn't see an obvious errors. How can I setup an option to make these icons
work? John

Hi John,

What's the exact error message? In the meantime, try this:

Open Internet Explorer, click Tools, Internet Options. In the Programs tab,
choose Reset Web Settings. Click OK, OK.

In Start, Run dialog, type:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll
