No event sounds

EdC

No event sounds being played on event, but play when
selected individually in cpl. I think it's an improper
default reg. setting, but I forget which one???

It's the "Default Value" of HKEY_CURRENT_USER. If it is blank delete it and XP
will rebuild it with the correct value "value not set". Also check
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21 for the same condition.
