Hi- for the passed couple of weeks, ever time I start my pc and after
clicking on my user acct, this windows box comes up. " there is no disk in
the drive. please insert a disk into drive"---I just click 'continue' and go
about my things. I have no cd/dvd/floppys in the pc at all. how can I get
rid of this message? Is it a need for concern that it is coming up?
any ideas?.

If it only happends for that user you should check the startup folder
for that user
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Start Menu\Programs\Startup (User is
your user name)

If it happends to everyone look under all users, see if you see a
program in the start up that requires a disk

thanks Jon. I checked all 4 user accounts and it was popping up for all 4 of
them. What I did was type 'msconfig' in the run box. then unchecked things
that start up that I wasnt familiar with. of course, I left my anti
virus, firewall, etc programs alone. so in all I unchecked 3 of them that I
think will not be impacted. And that did the trick. Ionly did that in my
acc't. Am I finished?? thanks for your help.
