no desktop! task bar!

hiya..i turned my computer on today and i have no task bar, icons, o
start box! all i have is the background! i can press ctrl alt and del.
and task manager appears which will let me start new task so i ca
access all my files and the internet ect. But can anybody tell me how
can get my icons and taskbar and everything else back? please help! its
not my computer!! thanx lots donna xxxx
