No Custom Option in Paper Size

My OS is Win XP with an HP Deskjet 895cse Printer. I recently discovered that
when I go to Print/Preferences/Advanced/Paper Size I do not have a 'Custom
Option' which allows me to specify and print on Paper Size other than Letter.
I would appreciate if some-one can tell me how to get the Custom option.
PS. The custom option was available to me in Win ME.

In Control Panel, Printers & Faxes, in the tool bar, File, Server
Options....
