DEFAULT PAPER SIZE DOESN'T WORK

hi, i am using epson lx-850+ dot matrix printer and set-up a printing default
with custom paper size. when i print using win 2000 OS, the set-up works fine
but when printing using xp, i can't seem to get the set paper size
automatically. i still need to manually select the correct paper size. pls
give any ideas how i can print using the preferred format?

Get a new printer? Really? Or see if you can contact the manufacturer for an
XP updated XP specific driver?
