No Cross Referencing if Style Separator

B

I noticed that when I use a style separator on a line, and then normal style
on the rest of the line, that numbered paragraph will not show up when I try
to cross reference the paragraph number. Interestingly, when I just want to
show the paragraph name, then that does show up. For example, if I have a
paragraph like the following, "11.02 Title of the Paragraph. (then the style
separator goes here) and this is the rest in normal style. The cross
reference table will not show this paragraph. Any thing I can do about this??

If you manually bookmark the text, can you then insert a cross-reference to
the bookmark?

Don't know how to manually cross reference. I only know the way thru the
reference ribbon

Insert a REF field or type CTRL+F9 to give {} then between the brackets type
{REF Bookmarkname} where Bookmarkname is the name of the bookmark.

Select the text to be referenced and insert a bookmark. Then use the
cross-reference dialog to insert a cross-reference to that bookmark.
