NIS2003 + ISDN Problem

"Hello World\n",

i've installed Norton Internet Security 2003 on a machine which is (not
permanently) connected
to the internet via isdn. I disabled the automatic live update of nav, but
somthing of the nis package always wants to dial out. The DFUE Window popps
up and
when i press cancle it's popping up again.
I would like to have it this way:
When i start the computer i do a manual live-update, and that's all.
NIS shoult not always try to dial out.

Is there a way to do this?

Tnx,
Florian

Florian,
I have the same problem like you seem to have. Did you get an answer
so far?
In fact it took me 2 days of damn trying re-configuring the NIS 2003
Under Win98se. Maybe worthwhile to mention that if you Block Internet
access of the Symantec Common Client Application the DFÜ problem
stops: Internet access still work then but Email doesn´t .

Unfortunately I an still a novice used of firewall (I used Zone Alarm
(don´t kill me for that!) but the handling was w/o any problem.

I would be greatful if anyone has an answer on the issue

Thanks Johannes
