This may sound dumb but how do I use Outlook express to
get more pages in Newsgroups? I went to Outlook and read
the info but don't understand.
Thanks, Larry

Perhaps TOOLS menu|GET NEXT xxx MESSAGES is what you seek?

Hi, Larry.

I've just finished this. Launch OE. In the right hand pane scroll down to
Newsgroups. Right click it, select "Newsgroups" from the drop-down menu and
OE will automatically download a load of newsgroups. For this newsgroup look
for Microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.

You can make it easier by using the simple search facility and typing in
windowsxp.

Good luck,

Ed

There is just one loooong page, but, to make it even longer:
Tools
Options
Read
"Get XXX headers at a time" (Set this to max - 1000 for this group, at
least!)
THEN...
Tools
"Get next XXX headers"

If MS Outlook (OL) is the default Mail Client, you should not open a
separate instance of Outlook Express (OE) for news. Instead, from OL, use
View>Go to>News; this opens the Outlook Newsreader. (Never mind that it's
really OE in disguise.)
