Newsgroups in OE

How can I view these Newsgroups in Outlook Express? My
ISP doesn't carry all of them. Does Microsoft have it's
own newsgroup server that I can connect too? What's the
address?
These web page version is cumbersome.
Thanks!

I'll re-post a message posted at the head of this group on January 5th, I
think:

The server is privatenews.microsoft.com This is specific to this beta. All
Microsoft.public groups are carried on news.microsoft.com

See below for credentials you need to connect via NNTP.

This newsgroup (hosted from server privatenews.microsoft.com) is dedicated
to the public beta of the Microsoft AntiSpyware when it becomes available.
This public beta will be available to Microsoft customers via a web
download.

These newsgroups have been made available to customers in one of two ways:
1) Using a browser based reader here :
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?ICP=spyware&sLCID=us.
These newsgroups are available today even though the public beta has not
been released yet. No accountname or password is required when using the
browser based reader.

2) Using any NNTP reader (such as Outlook Express). Customers who wish to
view these newsgroups using an NNTP reader will need an accountname and
password as below:
- Account name: privatenews\spyware
- Password: spyware

Questions or comments related to the public beta of Microsoft AntiSpyware
should be posted to the privatenews.microsoft.com server

Thanks,

Server: privatenews.microsoft.com
Port: 119
User: privatenews/spyware
Password: spyware

Yes, I agree. In the top part (at the bottom there) is the information
to be found how to use NNTP, though. ;-)
