I am unable to scroll beyond page 1 in the Newsgroup. When
I try, I get the message "Newsgroup not available".

Is anyone else having this problem?

Ed

Hi Ed

You'll be able to access more messages if you use a news reader, such as Outlook Express.

No because most people use a proper newsreader instead of the web-based
interface.

unfortunately, it seems more and more are using the web interface because
that's the first option on the MS community's page :-(

Thanks, Will. I'll give it a try, although I have never
had this problem before.

I reckon, by the time you read this, this message will
have moved to page 2 where I will not be able to respond.
Not at least for a while.

Best wishes,

Ed

Hi Ed

Sorry not be of more help. Your question will go from page 2 to page 3 to page 4...

Thanks for your care and attention, Will.

I have set up a Newsgroup account. All I have to do now is see how many
messages I can crowd in!

Best wishes,

Ed

Thanks everybody for your input. I have decided to use OE since it has been
brought to my attention so forcefully!!

.
I also have the problem. JP

Like I said in my earlier message, JP. I decided to set up an Outlook
Express newsgroup account.

In the left hand pane of OE, right click on "Newsgroup" and select
"Newsgroups" from the drop-down menu. OE should download quite a few
newsgroups among which are a lot of Microsoft. You want the addess:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general for this group.

Good luck,

Ed

Stick with your web based reader. Things aren't any
different using the old\worn out and feature thin Outlook
Express. The NG is just going through some updates and
changes. Keep smiling.

Edward, OE is the best. Searchable, readable, fast. Sometimes you will have
to go back to the "old way," as the MS servers aren't perfect, either.
Sometimes, like yesterday, both sets of servers can be down at the same
time! But, not usually. :>]
