Beck said:Outlook Express has been replaced by Windows Mail. It does do newsgroups.
In fact it really is OE6 with a new shirt on and a few extra pockets.
Frank Saunders said:Of course some of those extra pockets have holes in them. And some of the
old pockets have new holes.

There is never a seamstress around when you need them![]()
Windows Mail comes with Windows Vista. I think it's just a new version
of Outlook Express and they have changed the name.

Windows Mail will act as a Usenet client.

I've been a fan of Agent for years. It's the "Swiss Army Knife" of
Newsreaders.
I still get lost in the interface after all these years. :0)
All be it a poor one.

And get an even worse rag with no pockets? pfft
I am looking forward to the Penelope project which is a hybrid of
Thunderbird and Eudora.

Seriously though Thunderbird as a newsreader is total trash. Its
partially there with the extension "Newsworthy" but still falls way short
of my needs.
When Mozilla fix the bugs with the newsreader then I will use it.
40tude Dialog is sort of an Agent clone except it is free.
Scott said:Yep. That should be interesting. Eudora (Light) was the first Email
client I ever used (not counting AOHell). I liked it so much I paid
for the full version.
Then I fell and hit my head and got sucked into Outlook (not OE.. just
"O") for several years till Thunderbird rescued me.![]()
