<newbie> Need help establishing VPN connection

Hey

I've got WinXPpro (sp2) on my home computer. From this computer I'm trying
to use Remote Desktop to my computer at work.

AFAIK I have to establish an VPN connection to the public IP address of the
company I work at and from there use Remote Desktop to connect to my
computer at work.

the network at work consist of a server (the server I estaliblished VPN to)
and many computers (one of those computers is it I want to run Remote
Desktop against)

I've established an VPN connection with the company I work at... But I'm
unsure how to proceed from here and connect to my computer at work... I've
tryed to ping my work computer but it didn't respond. I've also tryed to use
Remote Desktop but it didn't connect...

Any suggestions?
