Newbie inquiry regarding roaming profiles

Hi there:

Please excuse my post - I inherited a Windows 2000 SP4 Server box and
would like to know whether the following is possible:

At the moment, we have a domain set up and our users logon to that
domain. We are not using roaming profiles, but was wondering how
difficult it would be to set this up. Right now, each user has their
own computer, so profiles are stored locally - I have manually remapped
each users My Documents to specific folders on our server.

Is it possible to set up a mechanism so that each existing (and future)
user can logon to any computer, whereby the My Documents folder is
automatically remapped to a folder residing on the server? I don't
want to destroy anyone's currently local profile.

Thanks in advance.

VERY EASY.
Right now, each user has their
own computer, so profiles are stored locally - I have manually remapped
each users My Documents to specific folders on our server.

Then those won't change with the standard way of doing this.

When you switch to a roaming profile (edit the user properties for one OR
more users in AD Users and Computers*) then have them logon AND off
of their own "Favorite Box".

As long as that is the machine with their 'current' profile then it will be
copied to the server when they find out roaming is enabled AND they
logoff.

* You must also create the profile share and ensure that users can write
back
to the server's shared directory....
Thanks in advance.
