Hello all
Recently switched from OE to Outlook 2007.

All I want to do is save/backup/export my 12 email account settings.
Hmmmm was a breeze in OE, it would seem from my Googling that without
fargleing with the registry its virtually impossible or have I missed a
trick here ?
Is this true MS have removed the facility to export the settings ? if so
what were/are they hoping to achieve with this masterstroke ?!!!

Any advice/help openly recieved
many thanks

Within Outlook, File>Import>Mail Account settings
Having said that it can cause problems with mail passwords

Outlook doesn't have the ability to export the account settings.

You can, however, use the MailPV utility to read the username, server names,
and stored passwords for accounts various mail clients know about, and
write them to a text file.

MailPV does not read port or SSL settings. You'd need to copy those
manually.

I sometimes do an initial account setup in Outlook Express for the express
purpose of exporting the IAF file.
