I was deleting some old junk from oe express 6 when i realized a year of received messages in my Inbox was deleted -- just BOOM - gone. 9/12/2005 to 6/26/2006, to be exact. not sure how it happened.
I tried Ctrol Z, I tried to go into my two backup systems and restore -- no go, on any of it. I've tried various things for a week. Just downloaded outlook EX REcovery from cnet, but again, no success.
it shows the emails i was deleting that day -- then it shows blank things dated 12/30/1899, and others dated 2017 and 2020 that came in in 6/2006. not sure if this is a virus doing this, or just regular old corrupted oe stuff -- but it seems to be beyond the help of oe ex recovery software.
i know now that my backups weren't set or working right, and i know now that i need to regularly archive my inbox (i had tried but never got it to do right).
but that doesn't help me right now, when i am lost without all the contact info, business info, etc. that is in that year of deleted received files. thank goodness, some of it is in my SENT box, but receipts for purchases, etc. all in those missing Inbox files.
any advice? thanks - calif jb
