New Profile Cannot Access Files

I recently set up a new laptop and movied my old Outlook Express info over to
the new PC. It worked well and all of the info was there, but could not send
or receive mail. After settig up a new profile, can now send and receive
mail, and see my old mail, but cannot find calendar or contact info under the
new profile. Have not been able to figure out how to access that data from
the new profile. The original profile still shows this data. IA scan shows
several .pst files including Outlook, Outlook1 and Outlook2 on my hard drive.

You speak of both Outlook Express and Outlook in the same message. Which
app do you mean?

Sorry for the confusion Brian.

I used Outlook Express on my old computer and migrated it over to Outlook
2003 using Intellimover. The files loaded fine and I can see my old mails,
address book and contacts in Outlook 2003 on the new computer.

However, I could not send or receive e-mail from the default profile that
was set up as I was receiving an error message ... The operation failed. An
object could not be found". After reading various posts on this issue, I set
up a new profile that can sned and receive e-mail, and also has my old mail
in other personal folders that I was able to move around. However, I cannot
access my calendar or contacts from this new profile.

I have read other posts about pointing the profile at the proper .pst files
and also about dragging and dropping, but I cannot figure out exactly how to
do this. A scan shows several .pst files including Outlook, Outlook1 and
Outlook2 on my hard drive.

Since all Outlook data is kept in the same file, if you can see your old
mail, you should be able to see your old Calendar and Contacts folders as
well, since they're in the same file as your Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, and
so on. What folders do you see besides your Inbox?

If you see other PSTs on your hard drie, open each and see if they contain
the data you want. Click FIle>Open>Outlook Data File, browse to the PST,
select it, and click OK.

In the profile Art's Stuff where I can send and receive e-mail, I have a
Calendar, Calendar in Personal Folder, and another Calendar in Personal
Folder....but all are blank. I also have a folder called Contacts and one
called Contacts in Personal Folder....both of which are empty. There is
another Contacts in Personal Folder file that has just e-mail addresses in it
which is set up as my e-mail addess book. It does not have my regaular
address book with addresses, phone numbers, etc.

In my default profile, I have a Calendar and 2 Calendars in Personal
Folders....all of which are blank. However, I have a third Calendar in
Personal Folder that has all of my calendar info from my old computer and it
looks great. The contact information is similar....I have a Contacts folder
with just e-mail addresses, and two Contacts in Personal Folders that are
blank. However, there is a third Contacts in Personal Folders that has all
of my address, telephone, etc. info from my old computer. On the mail side,
it is simiilar. I have three sets of Personal Folders that are blank, and a
fourth Personal Folder with historical e-mail from my old computer as well as
new mail showing up in the in-box, but it will not let me send or receive
from this profile.

Sorry for the long response, but wanted to provide all info. Thanks for
your help.

This, then, is probably your original PST. Make it your delivery location
and you'll be able to use it exactly as before.

Contacts in Personal Folders that has all of my address, telephone,
etc. info from my old computer.

This is further evidence that you're not using your original PST, but that
the original one is the one that contains this information.

That goes back to my original issue. When I set this as the e-mail delivery
pst, I get the error message 0x8004010F 'The operation failed. An object
could not be found'. Cannot send or receive e-mail. Based on other posts
read on this site about this issue, I fixed it by setting up a new profile.
But now I cannot figure out how to access my old calendar and contact info
from the new profile.

That goes back to my original issue. When I set this pst to have mail
delivered (using Tools>E-mail accounts>Next>Deliver new mail) I get error
message 0x8004010F: 'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'
for both sending and receiving mail. Based on posts on this site to fix this
issue, I set up a new profile which can send and receive mail, and see old
mail. However, I cannot access my old calendar and contacts info in this new
profile.

You said, though, that you can open this PST in the current profile and see
the contents. So, copy that contents to the proper folders in the current
delivery PST you're using.
