New motherboard?

Hi,
My computer keeps shutting down every 30 minutes by itself, i was wondering
if this is a sympton of a broken motherboard, if so, what kind of mother
board is good and compatible with my system? i need a firewire port.

Specifications
Motherboard: MSI 6741
Socket: AMD 754
chipset northbridge: via t8383 Apollo k8t800
Form: Micro ATX

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Memory: ddr SDRAM 512mb
Power Supply: 400 watts
Graphics: Sapphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis (AGP)

symptom of a broken motherboard,.....

Have a look at all your fans and make sure they're clean and running,
including the one in your power supply. Heat from the clogged cooling
fins on your CPU can also cause your shutdown troubles.

It's more likely to be a symptom of over-heating.

Check for possible overheating as the first suspect.

Another vote for checking your cooling.

The last time I saw a box doing something like that it was the
processor fan was barely spinning.
