On installation Did a repair install of XP, with a new Gigabyte i875p,
upgraded from a i845e mobo.

All is OK except for the PS2 Mouse port and cant use the Com ports..

Any easy way to fix this with out a Clean Install of XP..

All these Ports work on 98SE..

Thanks

Hi,

Have you installed the i875P chipset drivers for the new
mobo? It should be contained in the CD that come with the
new mobo. You should also install the necessary drivers
from the CD which are needed for the mobo.

Or

Go to Intel.com to get the latest i875P chip set drivers.
Read carefully for the instructions for how to update
chipset drivers.

Hope it helps.

Yes did all that and got the latest.

Funny thing is that Win98se will use the PS2 mouse during install but not XP..
